The 'check for newer versions of STORED pages is on automatic, history is set for 5 days(if that even matters), nothing is automatically deleted when closing Mozilla. Mozilla does not use it. The reason you could see your startup yahoo page is because yahoo is BASED on IE. Once yahoo is started you are using Mozilla so nothing else is written to the folder unless a function in yahoo requires its IE base. The files in this folder are easily deleted, which is probably what your son is doing, so now you don't see your yahoo startup. Even if he did not delete them, there would be nothing in the folder to allow you to track his activity. Install it, restart Firefox and select CacheViewer from the Tools menu.
