Wow - that freebie one comes out RATHER well. Thought I'd heard of most but obviously not - lots I had not seen before.

Thanks - most interesting POST. i thought zone alarm would do better! i herd a lot of good things about it and thats why i switched to zonealarm from comodoComodo has been ruling firewall world for quiet a while...Once again, Norton ftw.

Using comodo here...Yeah, this rating, I may trust better, since Norton, and McAfee are PRETTY much where they're suppose to be...Yeah, go Kaspersky!

I got mine at a 40% discount. ha I win. I don't even use a software firewall. No need. just the occasional check with Process monitor every week or so to SEE if I recognize any "new faces" in the list, and a methodical recovery console +delete to remove them when I do (very seldom)

Also, I have determine the optimal firewall. It uses a insulated buffer of air to prevent data packets from getting into your computer. In the diagram below, the computer connected with the black cable is at risk, but the blue one is safely protected using my patented firewall:

The whole point of a FIREwall is to burn bad things and let other things through..... What you have is more of a 10 meter thick steel wall.
