Solve : Transferring music from iTunes to an mp3 player? |
Answer» I have music from cds in my iTunes library. I want to put it on an mp3 player that is not an Apple product. When I plug the player in it shows in Finder under devices but it does not COME up in itunes screen. What do I NEED to do?iTunes works with Apple products. Most other product allow Drag & Drop from Windows Explorer. Just connect the device, open Windows Explorer, and copy the .mp3 files to your player.I am fairly new to Mac, I did not know that Mac had Windows Explorer. I have the same problem of transferring music or books. I also can not delete music from my mp3 on my Mac.I'd suggest you start your own thread - perhaps in the mac forum.Quote from: Allan on January 09, 2010, 12:25:54 PM I'd suggest you start your own thread - perhaps in the mac forum.Allan, you may want to re-look. The OP is on a Mac OS and is posting in the Apple forum. I really don't think macs have Windows Explorer. I'm unfamilar with the Mac OS, but can you copy music to the player using the Finder?Quote from: BC_Programmer on January 10, 2010, 01:27:55 PM I'm unfamilar with the Mac OS, but can you copy music to the player using the Finder? As long as the player is one with flash storage, most of them pop up on the desktop as WOULD an external hard drive. You could then just copy with finder. However, it really depends on the player.Quote from: Baygirl on December 03, 2009, 08:55:58 PM I have music from cds in my iTunes library. What do I need to do? baygirl, it won't come up in iTunes, as unfortunately, iTunes is made to work only with iPods. However, your player should show up in Finder (the mac EQUIVALENT to windows explorer) where you can drag and drop the music to the player.I thought so. Haven't used a mac very much since the time when you had to choose between finder or multifinder! |
