Solve : Trouble opening pages? |
Answer» Hi, I NEED some help. My computer STALLS about half way when opening PAGES. I have to stop the download and try again and then it will usually open. This is very frustrating. New things that may be causing this.....we just got hdtv cable that comes in on our same cable our computer is on......a new router for my son's wireless computer. Thanks for any help you can give! It's nice to ask questions of people who understand computers and their workings!Windows version. What browser?Windows xpQuote What browser?Microsoft internet explorer. I hope this is a browser! I USE the computer a lot but don't know the name of everything. Thanks.Download Firefox, and see, if same thing will happen. How is your computer connected? Through the router?YES, it is connected through the router and then the modem. Is firefox another browser? Will it affect Explorer in a negative way? Ha!!!! That is sooo funny. I'll check it out. Thanks.Alright.....this is a serious question. If I'm downloading Firefox and it stalls halfway through the download.....what should I do? Is all that download just sitting on my hard drive and I need to delete it.......or if I start the download again, does it start from where it stalled. I know I'm computer dumb but I've always wanted to know what to do if a download isn't successful. Thanks.Quote I need to delete it.......or if I start the download again, does it start from where it stalled. When you download it again, it'll overwrite previous download, unless you're using some download manager. Then, it may pick up from the point, where it left. |
