A friend of mine RECENTLY acquired a virus. Her husband took it to the
pros' and they took care of of the virus. The husband took it back
home and STARTED to re-install all of the software. When they got to
MS WorkSuite 2000, all of the software installed, except the Home
Publishing. I tried everything I could think of and I still get "this
program has performed an illegal operation. I also tried "Search this
forum". They now run McAfee Virus Software. I disabled it, just to see
what would happen. Still got the ". . . illegal . . ." Any suggestion
would be greatly appreciated.”>
Update:
Went back and followed the suggestions I received from the forum.
This TIME I paid closer attention to the “Details” SECTION:
SETUP caused an exception c0000006H in module
SETUP.EXE at 0j167:00408a4c.
