My son has a laptop and the usb ports arent working correctly. They either connect for a few SECONDS REGARDLESS of what is in them. or they ecome up with
this message

usb ports malfunctioned windows doesnt recognise it.

on closer inspection all 4 ports are quite loose. does anyone know how i can RECTIFY these problems

Forgive my Captain Obvious questions, but if it's under any kind of plan, then perhaps tech support may help.

Thanks! Now, when you inform us the USB ports are loose, do you mean that the fixtures themselves wiggle, or that the cable plug in doesn't "want" to stay in the fixture?

I think you're telling us the ports themselves are loose...thank you to everyone that has replied. its the fixtures themselves that wiggle around

i will post the SPEC later when i can find them

regards dawnSome local repair shops will do repairs at board level on computers...but expect it to be a bit pricey on a laptop if you can find someone to do it.
