Solve : Using Bootcamp... problem with Windows Product Key? |

Answer» I have a PC (HP laptop), but I recently got a Mac. USING Bootcamp, I set it up so that I can use Windows. However, it asks for a product key to activate windows. Now, theoretically, I could use the product key from my PC disk, right? However, when I go about this, it says that the key is incorrect. Is there anyway to make this work? You could try calling Microsoft, and telling them that this is the first time you have used the key. However, they probably won't re-activate it for you. You need to buy ANOTHER copy of the OS, I assume it is XP. You MAY want to experiment with Vista. So basically there isn't really a solution for you. Sorry |
