Solve : What's your internet connection??

Answer»

What do you usually use to connect to the internet? I realize many people might have different connections, but pick the one you use the most often.Hmmm, anybody out there actually using ISDN? I gave that serious consideration years ago before either cable or DSL became available here. Even bought an ISDN modem on ebay. Shortly after, DSL became available. I switched from dialup to DSL and never used that ISDN modem. ISDN was QUITE expensive, as I RECALL, and only about 2 to 2 1/2 times faster than dialup.ISDN..........................BetaMax
ADSL..........................VCR.

I got me a 20Mb Cable connection... 'Tis awesome lol.I've got ADSL 2.5Mb down/512Kb up. Not the fastest available, but it serves my needs.DSL, 2Mb down, 256k up.
Would switch to a 24Mb down, 2Mb up, but it takes 3 weeks, during which time I would only have dial up internet access.
As it is, 2Mb is usually sufficient.I don't see Telepathy in the choice list...Quote from: PATIO on December 15, 2007, 11:38:45 AM

Well, in that case you should choose WiMAX or other wireless... or just other. I have a super fast 400 kbps BROADBAND connection
I wish I had a 3G (Which is 5Mbps)I use the FiOS fiber optic service. Quote from: mkensing on December 15, 2007, 10:26:06 PM
I use the FiOS fiber optic service.

Haha I knew I should of put fiber optic in. I nearly added it to the list then thought "Nah"I used to have cable from Adelphia. Their service was so unreliable it seemed the internet was out more that it was on. It was pretty fast though. A few years ago I switched to Verizon DSL. Verizon has been a lot more reliable than Adelphia ever was. Though I do miss the upload/download rate that cable has.Comcast Cable here. We're getting Fiber in my area in March. So hopefully we'll switch to that when it's available.
