dl65  when i turn on my computer it dosent BOOT up it says insert BOOT diskette in a: so im tryin to get one and maybe itll boot upits now writing the disk it keeps having errors in reading the tract.. will it still boot up?Playa1471....If you give us some info .......for example.....
What operating system are you using ?
When did the problem occur ?
Were you or anyone else playing around with SETTINGS?
Has you p/c been infected by a virus or Trojan ......this could be the problem......

ok this is wut i know..its a gateway windows 98 it messed up like year 2000 all i used to do is play games it may be a virus i dunno... it did this before and someoen tried to fix it i bought a new hard drive and everything now it says the same thing i dont really know wut u mean by operating systems ooooo and i remmber something someone uploaded it to 2000 after the second time it did thisPlaya1471.....ok so your p/c is a gateway......and it had Win 98 on it ...but someone updated it to Win 2K...Do you have the Win2k disk and PRODUCT code.
Do you have a current Anti virus program installed .

no and no but i have a windows xp disk and code and stuffPlaya....If youve got XP thats even better.......why not just FORMAT your drive and load Win xp........

dl65  i went to bootdisk.com it kept having errors while writing and i put it in the cpu and didnt do anything.. maybe it was the floppy?after i get this new floppy and write it on the disk it shud then work with the boot drive in the a: then i can set up xp and uninstall 98 and then install anti virus?Playa1471.......try another floppy.........if not give me your Email ADDRESS and I'll send you one and you can copy it to a floppy
