Answer» Hi,
I'm considering these 2 laptops and was wondering which one is a better deal? They both cost abt the same. I'll mostly use the laptop for websurfing, youtube, web conferences and microsoft office pro applications.
Is it better to go for the i3 processor at the expanse of memory and hard drive or vice versa? Thanks!

Instead ;as i own neither; i am going to give you a couple of LINKS that compare Dell and Acer (hopefully your 2 models). I urge you to do more research on your own as well. http://www.brighthub.com/computing/hardware/articles/71654.aspx http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?lastOrder=992&page=56 Don't know where you are RESIDING but given a reference in your post to price here is a link to a large North American retail vendor that seems to offer both your modelss for a price comparison. http://www.walmart.com/cp/laptop-computers/132960 What i used for my search criteria on Google was: "compare Dell Inspiron 15r or Acer Aspire 4851?" truenorthWhichever better SUITS your needs is the better system.I'd like a faster CPU and to be able to multi-task. Is there much difference in speed between an intel i3 and a pentium P6100? If not, then getting more RAM 4GB (compared to 3GB) and 500GB of Hard drive (320GB) is better right?

1. Both will do that well. 2. i3 is latest Intel cpu series; Dual Core P6100 is previous series. 3. Not necessarily. Dell comes with 64-bit OS that is able to utilize more than 3GB. Don't know about Acer. Bigger hard drive is better only if you need more than 320GB.
