Solve : Why wont my TV support internet connection.?

Answer»

I'am interested in hooking up my computer to my HDTV,I have a Toshiba with the picture tube, the manual  says not to connect to a computer but when I contacted Toshiba for more information they replied " The tv must have a computer connecter". Both the computer and the tv have HDMI ports would that not represent a connection!.No, it would not.Hi Allan, Short and to the point!,  Thanks.sureWhy EXACTLY HDTV wouldn't be able to serve as a secondary display?
Or am I reading something wrong?Broni, I'm glad you posted.  I've read this post a couple of times and have been confused.  If the TV and the computer both have HDMI ports it should work fine.Unless we both are reading something wrong It seems there is disention in the ranks!, how about it Allan would you CARE to elaborate?.Checking the set up booklet for my computer it reads, "HDMI connector connects to a tv for both 5.1 audio and video signals".  Should have noticed that before, sorry guys. Please accept my SINCERE apology. I'm not sure what I read in your first post when I responded, but obviously whatever I read it wasn't what you wrote. Again, sorry for the bad info.Nah, no worries Alan. Perhaps it was the fact that the title is asking a different question then the post.
