Solve : Windows XP with a new Motherboard?? |
Answer» my motherboard is shot. i've been told that Windows XP would recognize the new motherboard as a totally different computer and would not allow the OS to operate at all and it was HOPELESS. Is this true? or can i install a new MB and get it running? This is partially true, when installing a new Motherboard Windows XP will think of this new component as a new computer. However, when this is done you only need to re-register Microsoft Windows XP.when you try to re-register it will tell you that you can't because it has been registered too many times, just call the number and give the CODE they ASK for (when you try to register again it will put up a screen with CODES on it) and when they ask if this is a first install tell no and why your re-installing and they will step you through the rest. |
