Apparently releasing a BETA is working out great for MS since it's release there have been over 2,000 bugs and fixes made to date....
That coupled with ever increasing strong Driver support they may just get this one right....

Full Story.They have actually listened to the END user with 7 instead of thinking for us. That in itself is incredible and will hopefully shut up some of the haters.I run both the 32 and 64bit versions right now and i have to say i'm impressed.
A real MESS of a time with the MBoard drivers but after that it's mostly been cosmetic glitches.
It was also reporting i had 8G of RAM installed...i have 6G.

I liked some of the things on the list they said they are working on.

i hope that all programs that I am using that is on windows vista and works with windows vista will work with windows 7.

For example, I play age of empires 3. I don't want to get windows 7 to find it won't run at all or has issues because it's a new o.s.


Is win 7 worth the upgrade from win vista?It hasn't been released yet so you will have to wait and see.

Part of the reason for betas is so everyone, vendors includes, can get up to speed. The bigger vendors will be working directly with MS on issues so hopefully everyone will be ready. But there will always be the few who hate MS and won't work with them on anything. Those are the ones who complain the loudest and in the end it's really just their own fault...And thank god win 7's beta seems to be running much smoother than i've believed it to be at first. And hopefully windows 7 will have less of that "Not Responding" problems happening at times when programs crash and that you can actually be able to restore exactly what you got, like a online document or something that otherwise would have gotten lost forever.I find it very stable (the 32-bit edition anyway, haven't tried the 64-bit)

The only times my programs 'hang' is when my IDE CARD USES its power saving features and the OS has to wait for the DISKS to spin back up.Windows 7 does not offer anything new it should be a service pack not another release of windows.
