1.

State the relation between current (I) passing in conductor, number of electrons(n), flowing through cross section of conductor magnitude of charge on an electron(e) and time (t).

Answer»

ANSWER:

The current flowing through a conductor is given by the amount of charge passing through the cross section of the conductor in a given time.

I = Q/t

Where I - current flowing, Q - charge, t - time

charge can be calculated by the summation of number of CHARGED particle flowing through the cross section multiplied by individual charge on the particle.

Q = n*E (e as here these are electons)

n = 6.25*(10^18) e = 1.6*(10^-19)

Q = {6.25*(10^18)} * {1.6*(10^-19)}

Q = 1 C

t = 5*60 = 300 sec

I = 1/300 = 3.33*(10^-3) A

I = 3.33 mA
