The length and breadth of three rectangles are as given below :(a) 9 m and 6 m(b) 17 m and 3 m(c) 4 m and 14 mWhich one has the largest area and which one has the smallest?

Answer»

Area of rectangle = length × Breadth

(a) l = 9 m b = 6 m

Area = l × b = 9 × 6 = 54 m2

(b) l = 17 m b = 3 m

Area = l × b = 17 × 3 = 51 m2

(c) l = 4 m b = 14 m

Area = l × b = 4 × 14 = 56 m2

It can be see that rectangle (c) has the largest area and rectangle (b) has the smallest area.
