1.	What are colloids ? Explain why filter paper cannot be used to separate colloids.
Answer» Solution :Colloids are intermediate state of the solution and SUSPENSION. The SIZE of COLLOID particles is between 1 NM and 100 nm. Because of this SMALL size, colloid passes through a filter paper and hence filter paper cannot be used to separate colloids.
