What is polarisation of light? |
|
Answer» Polarization is a property applying to transverse waves that specifies the geometrical orientation of the oscillations. In a transverse wave, the direction of the oscillation is perpendicular to the direction of motion of the wave. Polarization is the property of wave that can oscillate with more than one orientation. A light wave that is vibrating in more than one plane is referred to as unpolarised light. The process of transforming unpolarized light into polarized light is known as polarization of light. |
