On applying the HIGH voltage on the logic gates NMOS will be conducted and will get activated, whereas PMOS require low voltage to be activated. NMOS are faster than PMOS as the carriers that NMOS USES are electrons that TRAVELS faster than holes. The SPEED is twice as fast as holes. PMOS are more immune to noice than NMOS.
