Answer» total total internal reflection is directly related to the BRILLIANCE of the DIAMOND. this happens because that diamonds are cut into the shape so that the sides of the diamond or the edges of the diamond makes the angle less than the critical angle in the diamond. as we know the critical angle is the angle at which when the incident LIGHT is put the angle of reflection will always be 90 degree. as a result of which the angle less than 90 degree would lead to the the internal reflection or or not letting the light cross the medium. as this happens the light entering the diamond suffers continual total internal reflection as a result of which it appears much brighter. hence we can conclude that there is a direct RELATION between the brilliance of diamond and the total internal reflection
