Answer» Being a woman, Mary had to struggle a lot. She had to fight a constant battie to overcome prejudice and challenges outside the ring as much as inside it against her opponents. When she started, she had no encouragement nor support from anybody. As she was coming from a poor S family, she had to face hardships for the first 4-5 years. She never had money to buy a proper kit or good shoes. She had to travel long distances by bus or train.
