1.

Which would required greater force weather to accelerating a 16 gm mass at 5m/s^2 Or accelerating 20 gm mass with 2m/^s2

Answer»

GIVEN:-

  • MASS of 1st body (m) = 16gm

  • Acceleration of 1st body (a) = 5m/s²

  • Mass of 2ND body (m') = 20gm

  • Acceleration of 2nd body (a') = 3m/s²

To Find:-

  • Which WOULD required greater force.

Solution:-

Firstly we convert the mass of body in kg

1kg = 1000 Gram.

Mass of 1st body = 16/1000kg = 0.016Kg

Mass of 2nd body = 20/1000 = 0.002Kg

Now, Force for 1st body

Force = Mass × Acceleration

Put the value which is given above

⟹ F = 0.016×5

⟹ F = 0.08N

∴ Force required for 1st body = 0.08N .....(i)

Now Force required for 2nd body

F = m'×a'

⟹ F = 0.002×2

⟹F = 0.004 N

Force required for 2nd body = 0.004N. ...(ii)

From 1st and 2nd case we get

The greater force required for 1st body .
