A person who fears or hesitates taking risks in life can never be a truly free’ person. A man must acknowledge the dialectics of human life. Risks and challenges only test the capacity and freedom of a person. Those who never take risks become slaves of their self-created chains of certitude and security. Opening out to face every challenge of life generates dynamism and a sense of freedom. We can be ‘free’ only when we are free to accept and face the challenges and hazards of life.

जो व्यक्ति अपने जीवन में जोखिम उठाने से हिचकता या भयभीत होता है, वह कभी भी सच्चे अर्थों में स्वतंत्र व्यक्ति नहीं हो सकता। एक व्यक्ति को मानवीय जीवन के द्वंद्वों के विषय में जानकारी होने चाहिए। जोखिम और चुनौतियाँ केवल व्यक्ति की स्वतंत्रता तथा क्षमता की परीक्षा लेते हैं। जो व्यक्ति कभी जोखिम नहीं उठाता, वह स्वयं के द्वारा निर्मित निश्चितताओं तथा सुरक्षा के बंधन में बँधकर उनका दास बन जाता है। चुनौतियों का सामना करने से गतिशीलता तथा स्वतंत्रता का भाव जगता है। हम तभी स्वतंत्र हो सकते हैं जब हम जीवन की जोखिमों तथा चुनौतियों को स्वीकारने तथा उनका सामना करने के लिए स्वतंत्र हों।
