Answer» The ironmaster did so because he had mistaken him for an old acquaintance in the dim glow of the furnace. The peddler declined the invitation since he had stolen money from a nearby house and was afraid he might be recognised and caught. मालिक लोहार ने ऐसा इसलिए किया, क्योंकि उसने उसे (फेरीवाले को) भट्टी की धीमी रोशनी में एक पुरानी परिचित समझ लिया था। फेरीवाले ने यती ठुकरा दिया, क्योंकि उसने पास के एक मकान से पैसे चुराए थे। व वह डर रहा था कि उसे पहचान लिया जाएगा और वह पकड़ा जाएगा। |
