Why the citizens of a democratic country cast their vote at regular intervals? |
|
Answer» cy comes from the GREEK “Demos” meaning “people” and “kratia” meaning “form of GOVERNANCE.” Thus democracy is a form of governance where the people make the decisions as opposed to having the decisions being made by a small group of elites or a single person. Elections are necessary because they are the BEST and most efficient way to organize the demands of the people such that those demands are able to be TRANSLATED into major policy decisions. Elections MUST also be free and fair to ensure that those demands are not manipulated and can be fairly and transparently translated into policy. |
