Answer» An AC or a refrigerator does some work to move heat from the cold reservoir/sink to the HOT reservoir or source . So if you want to COOL a ROOM by opening a refrigerator then the room cannot be cooled because the cold reservoir is the refrigerator and the hot reservoir is the room , then the heat from the refrigerator is expelled back to the room but you can cool a room with an AC as the sink here is the room and the source is the outside environment . |
