For those who MAY have not seen this, MICROSOFT has RECENTLY posted an update for Windows XP MSCONFIG.

Install this update to add a Tools TAB to the System Configuration Utility (msconfig.exe). The Tools tab will allow further DIAGNOSTIC tools to be launched from within the System Configuration Utility. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.

Rockstar, maker of a video game which caused controversy after secret sex scenes were found in it, has issued a fix to disable access to the scenes.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the best-selling game of 2004, were unlocked by a fan who created software called Hot Coffee.

Installing Hot Coffee allowed people to play an explicit "mini game".

As a result, the US Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) changed the rating to Adults Only.

The change meant, however, that many shops were forced to stop stocking it as they have a policy of not selling adult-rated content.

In Australia, the game was stripped of its official classification, meaning that shops could no longer sell the title.

"The Hot Coffee scenes were not intended to be part of the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas experience," read a statement from the Rockstar, the game's developer.

"If your copy of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for the PC has been altered by the unauthorised Hot Coffee download circulating on the internet, or you wish to prevent your version from being so altered, download and install the patch for your version of the game."

From the start

Before the ESRB's investigation, the game had an M for mature rating that meant it could be sold to those aged 17 and above.

Initially the game's publisher, Take Two, said the explicit scenes were the result of modifications made to the game by Hot Coffee.

It later admitted it had inserted the secret scenes, following the ESRB investigation.

The storm of PROTEST over the game even attracted the ATTENTION of US senator Hillary Clinton.

She called for an investigation into who was responsible for including the scenes in the game.

In the UK, the game was originally GRANTED an 18 age rating and that rating remains the same.

I've been caught with adaware before when if you don't update the core program, they just stop giving signature updates for the old versions.I use Adaware SE at the moment. What I like about this program is that it can clear the .MRU lists. It is the only spyware it finds. I never even have tracking cookies.

I will test Spybot S&D first before reinstalling Microsoft Anti-spyware, has an update been released yet?Nope, no update for spybot yet.

I was hunting around the spybot site & found out that you can get into the program and edit some of the code.
It looks easy LOL.
When I find it again I'm going to copy the link and ask someone in here who knows about that stuff.
Basicaly it's just a matter of changing a couple of values to the size of the popup screen to make it bigger so the buttons don't overlap or something.

Well, I read in the paper today that companies who make printers such as Dell, HP, Lexmark, etc. Are now going to be lowering their prices for COMPETITION reasons, so you shoudl notice a refreshing drop in prices for printers now! Now... Word has it that HP constantly comes out with the latest technology faster than the other companies... So if you want the freshest technolgy, I coudl see how HP would be your option

But to answer your question; no, I have not tried it.Lindows is commonly used on the cheaper PCs that come from Walmart, ETC. The OS has a lot of bugs from what I HEAR (worse than microsoft) , but I have never tried it myself.

When the network is complete, NBN Co. claims it will be able to initially provide broadband speeds up to 100 Mbps and 1 Gbps to about 93 percent of Australian homes, schools and businesses.

Despite the political wrangling between the Australian government parties and Australia's incumbent service provider Telstra, NBN Co. has been making progress with getting its network equipment and construction partners in order. In June, NBN Co. struck a GPON equipment and engineering deal with Alcatel-Lucent for the last mile portion of the network.
