Paragraph on the behalf of Nelson mandela on prejudice and discrimination |
Answer» outh Africa are convinced that it is both possible and practicable to reach our goal of a better life for all in the shortest possible time. We derive our confidence from the knowledge that this is a vision shared by the overwhelming majority of South Africans across the colour and political divides. And we fully appreciate the role of the international community in making this happen — not only in the form of MATERIAL support. If we are able today to speak proudly of a rainbow nation, united in its diversity of culture, religion, race, language and ethnicity, it is in part because the world set us a moral example which we dared to follow. This achievement is bound to last because it is founded on the realisation that reconciliation and nation-building mean, among other things, that we should set out to know the truth about the terrible past and ensure it does not recur. Ours MUST therefore not be merely a respite before the BITTERNESS of the past once more reasserts itself. We recognise too, that reconciliation and nation-building would REMAIN pious words if they were not premised on a concerted EFFORT to remove the real roots of past conflict and injustice. Our national security and the survival of our young democracy depend, above everything else, on the programme to meet the basic needs of the people. Reconstruction and development will ensure that all South Africans have a stake in life; that they share an interest in the well-being of the country as a whole. |

What were the waysin which grains were used by theearly farmers? |
Answer» Farming began c. 10,000 BC on land that became known as the FERTILE CRESCENT. Hunter-gatherers, who had traveled to the area in search of food, began to harvest (gather) wild grains they found growing there. They scattered spare grains on the ground to grow more food.in the Fertile Crescent, FARMERS grew tall, wild grasses, including an early type of barley, and primitive varieties of wheat called emmer and einkorn. These naturally produced large grains (seeds) that were TASTY and nourishing. In other parts of the world, between 8000 BC and 3000 BC, farmers discovered how to DOMESTICATE their own local plants and animals.PLZZ MAKR AS BRAINLIEST AND I WILL FOLLOW U |

Speak to your parents & grandparent and try to find out the lifestyle & status of women in the past so far as dress, food, education, friends and outing, profession/ jobs, age of marriage etc.are concerned when they were 15-20 years old. Observe how their lifestyle was different thanthe lifestyle of women in the cities or now as far as the mentioned points are concerned. |
Answer» Hey mate there is your answerExplanation:In many traditional societies, women’s age at marriage acts simultaneously as a gateway to new FAMILY roles and the likelihood of producing offspring. However, inadequate attention has previously been given to the broader health and social implications of variability in women’s marriage age for public health. Biomedical scientists have primarily been concerned with whether the onset of reproduction occurs before the woman is adequately able to nurture her offspring and maintain her own health. Social scientists have argued that early marriage prevents women from attaining their rightful education, accessing EMPLOYMENT and training opportunities, developing social relationships with peers, and participating in civic life. The aim of this review article is to provide comprehensive research evidence on why women’s marriage age, independent of age at first childbirth, is a crucial issue for public health. It focuses on data from four South Asian countries, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, and Pakistan, in which marriage is near universal and where a large proportion of women still marry below the UNITED Nations prescribed minimum marriage age of 18 years. Using an integrative perspective, we provide a comprehensive synthesis of the physiological, bio-demographic, and socio-environmental drivers of variable marriage age. We describe the adverse health consequences to mothers and to their offspring of an early age at marriage and of CHILDBEARING, which include malnutrition and high rates of morbidity and mortality. We also highlight the complex association of marriage age, educational attainment, and low societal status of women, all of which generate major public health impact. Studies consistently find a public health dividend of increased girls’ education for maternal and child nutritional status and health outcomes. Paradoxically, recent relative increases in girls’ educational attainment across South Asia have had limited success in delaying marriage age. This evidence suggests that in order for public health initiatives to maximize the health of women and their offspring, they must first address the factors that shape the age at which women marry |

How was the map of al-idrisi diferrent from guillaume de l'isle |
Answer» In al-Idrisi’s map, south India is seen where north India is expected to be seen and SRI Lanka is visible as an island at the top. Place names are marked in Arabic, and there are some well-known names like Kanauj in Uttar Pradesh. However, the French cartographer's map was made nearly 600 years after the FIRST map, during which time the information about the subcontinent had CHANGED considerably. This map was far more familiar and the coastal areas in particular were surprisingly detailed. It was used by EUROPEAN sailors and merchants on their voyages. |

The iron age is associated with different dates for different parts of the world . for example it is said to have occurred more recently in China than in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. In our modern times, do you think the discovery of a useful new mineral or technology would be marked by large intervals of use in different parts of the world? Explain your answer. |
Answer» tion:The Iron Age is the final epoch of the three-age division of the prehistory and protohistory of humanity. It was preceded by the Stone Age (Paleolithic, Mesolithic, Neolithic, and Chalcolithic) and the Bronze Age. The concept has been mostly applied to Europe and the Ancient Near East, and, by analogy, also to other parts of the OLD World. The duration of the Iron Age varies depending on the region under consideration. It is defined by archaeological convention, and the mere presence of some CAST or wrought iron is not sufficient to represent an Iron Age culture; rather, the "Iron Age" begins locally when the production of iron or steel has been brought to the point where iron tools and weapons superior to their bronze equivalents become widespread.[1] For example, Tutankhamun's meteoric iron dagger comes from the Bronze Age. In the Ancient Near East, this transition takes place in the wake of the so-called Bronze Age collapse, in the 12th century BC. The technology soon spread throughout the Mediterranean Basin region and to South Asia. Its further spread to CENTRAL Asia, Eastern Europe, and Central Europe is somewhat delayed, and Northern Europe is reached still later, by about 500 BC.The Iron Age is taken to end, also by convention, with the beginning of the historiographical record. This usually does not represent a clear break in the archaeological record; for the Ancient Near East, the establishment of the Achaemenid EMPIRE c. 550 BC (considered historical by virtue of the record by Herodotus) is usually taken as a cut-off date, and in Central and Western Europe, the Roman conquests of the 1st century BC serve as marking for the end of the Iron Age. The Germanic Iron Age of Scandinavia is taken to end c. 800 AD, with the beginning of the Viking Age.In South Asia (Indian sub-continent), the Iron Age is taken to begin with the ironworking Painted Gray Ware culture in the 18th century BC (see the page on Varanasi), and to end with the reign of Ashoka (3rd century BC). The use of the term "Iron Age" in the archaeology of South, East, and Southeast Asia is more recent and LESS common than for western Eurasia; at least in China prehistory had ended before iron-working arrived, so the term is infrequently used. The Sahel (Sudan region) and Sub-Saharan Africa are outside of the three-age system, there being no Bronze Age, but the term "Iron Age" is sometimes used in reference to early cultures practicing ironworking such as the Nok culture of Nigeria. |

Basic occupation of people at muhhamad's kingdom |
Answer» tion:The Islamic prophet Muhammad was born and lived in Mecca for the first 52 years of his life (570–632 CE). Orphaned early in life, he became known as a prominent merchant, and as an impartial and trustworthy arbiter of disputes.[1] He married his first wife, the wealthy 40-year-old widow Khadijah at the age of 25. He would also marry Aisha and many others later in his life.According to Islamic tradition, Muhammad began receiving REVELATIONS at the age of 40; some of his peers RESPECTED his words and became his followers, while others, including tribal leaders, opposed, ridiculed and eventually boycotted his clan, and Muhammad and his followers were killed, tortured, harassed, assaulted and forced into exile.[2][3] Several attempts were made on his life.[4][5] When his uncle and chief protector, Abu Talib, who was the head of the clan of Banu Hashim died, Muhammad migrated to Medina in 622, where he had many followers who agreed to HELP and assist him.He remained there until returning to CONQUER Mecca in December 629 and died there in June 632. |
