How does the water kept in an earthen pot (matka) became cool during summer ? |
|
Answer» WATER OF MATKA BECAME COOL BECAUSE THE WATER OF MATKA CAME ON THE SURFACE OF IT AND THEN THE PROSSES OF EVAPORATION STARTS, AS WE KNOW THAT EVAPORATION CAUSE COOLING, SO WATER OF MATKA BECAME COOL Which makes it cool The matkas have small pores in them.the water see0s in through and hence evaporating |

The smell of hot sizzling food reaches you several metres away |
|
Answer» Due to high kinetic energya This process is known as kinetic energy increases As you increase in temparature increases the rate of diffusion. So we get the smell of hot sizzling food from several meters away. Because of high kinetic energy Because the particles of hot slizzy foods have high kinetic energy The smell of hot sizzling food reaches you several metres away because the particles of matter have large kinetic energy as they reaches several metre away and cold food have less kinetic energy so they do not spread in air . |

What is plasma membrane and its importance |
| Answer» Plasma membrane\xa0is delicate, thin structure (5-10 nm wide) visible only in electron microscope. It is the outermost layer in animal cell and occurs as a semi permeable covering surrounding the protoplasm. It is made up of lipids proteins and small amount of carbohydrates. It protects the protoplasm and maintains a constant internal environment to the protoplasm. | |

Defination of latent heat of fusion |
|
Answer» Solid to liquid change is called latent heat of fusion . The solid to liquid change is called latrant heat of fusion The amount of heat required to change 1 g of a substance at the temperature of its melting point from the solid to the liquid state without changing temperature. The process in which solid are changes into liquid are called latent heat of fusion |

Name the different types of plastids and explain their functions? |
|
Answer» Plastids are classified in three types:-.cromoplast.chloroplast.leucoplast Chloroplasts-green coloured plastids are known as chloroplasts.they contains the green pigment called cholorphyll.chlorophyll give the plants green colour.Chromoplasts produce theri own DNA. Chromoplasts-geen colured plastids except one colour which us green.it is found in flowers and fruits. Leucoplasts-colourless plastids.its primary function is only for storage. Gchhbjkkvx |

What is the difference between evaporation and cooling? |
| Answer» Evaporation is a process in which a liqiud(water) change into gas( water vapour) below its boiling point.Molecules on surface gains the kinetic energy and will come in motion, that is why evaoration is called surface phenomena.Cooling is a process in which gas changes into liquid above the freezing point.Molecules of the gas gain potential energy and interacellular space decreases and then changes the state. | |

| Answer» | |
| 7272. |
What is the difference between the structure and functions of vacuoles of plant and animal cells? |
| Answer» Plant cell has only one large vacuole that covers almost 90% cellular space sometimes. Plant cells needs larger vacuole because vacuole helps them to maintain turgor pressure within the cell. Vacuoles store water and become turgid when water enters the cell through osmosis. When cell loses water vacuoles helps the cell to retain the shape. Vacuoles also maintain the osmotic concentration within the cell.Animal cells have one or more vacuoles which are smaller in shape. In animal cell the main function of vacuoles is to store nutrients, ions and water. Vacuoles plays an important role in endocytosis and exocytosis. They store the waste material (exocytosis)or food (endocytosis) and transport it inside the cell. Lysosomes secrete its enzymes within it and helps in digestion. bacterias are also engulfed by cell and destroyed in animal vacuole by lysosomal enzymes. | |

| 7277. |
What is the function of rough ends reticulum |
|
Answer» Hope u find it helpful? Synthesis of protein The ribosomes on the RER are synthesizing protein by definition, meaning that ribosomes do not exist in the cell unless they are synthesizing protein from an mRNA template. |

| 7284. |
Why does desert prevents more hot during day and more cool during night |
| Answer» On a hot dry day rate of evaporation is faster. In a desert cooler when exhaust fan is on, hot air enters through the straw mates and at this site evaporation of water takes place and that also at faster rate. It takes away heat from air so the air becomes cool even cooler on a hot dry day. | |

| 7289. |
What are the factor that effect the crop production |
| Answer» Biotic factors such as pests, insects and diseases reduce the crop production. A pest causes damage to our crops by feeding. Weeds also reduce crop productivity by competing with the main crop for nutrients and light.Similarly, abiotic factors such as temperature, wind, rain etc. affect the net crop production. For example droughts and floods have a great impact on crops sometimes, destroying the entire crop. | |

difference between compound and mixture |
| Answer» \tSl. No.Differentiating PropertyCompoundMixture1DefinitionCompound are substances which are formed by chemically combining two or more elements.Mixtures are substances that are formed by physically mixing two or more substances.2TypesCompounds are three types which are covalent compounds, metallic compounds and ionic compounds.\xa0Note: Compounds can also be classified as organic or inorganic compounds based on the presence of carbon atom.Mixtures are mainly of two types i.e. homogenous mixtures and heterogeneous mixtures.3Substance CategoryCompounds fall under pure substances.Mixtures fall under impure substances.4Composition DetailsThe chemical composition of compounds is always fixed.A mixture can have a variable composition of the substances forming it.5NatureCompounds are always homogeneous in natureMixtures can either be homogeneous or heterogeneous in nature.6Separation of ConstituentsThe constituents of a compound can only be separated by either chemical or electrochemical methods(like extraction). The constituents of a mixture can be easily separated by physical methods (like filtration).\t | |

What type of mixture es are separated by the technique of crystallisation |
| Answer» Crystallization is a solid–liquid separation technique which is\xa0used to\xa0obtain\xa0pure solid crystals from impure sample\xa0of the respective solid. The principle of crystallization is\xa0based on the limited solubility of a compound.E.g. Crystallization is used\xa0to obtain pure sugar from impure sugar. | |

Define the term nucleoid in living organism? |
|
Answer» In prokaryotic cells, the nuclear region is not well defined. This poorly defined nucleus has a specific name nucleoid. Nucleus is a brain of a prokaryotic cell. In a living organism like bacteria which are prokaryotic have such type of nucleus. This is like a flowing deoxirybo nuclic acid (DNA)and have no definite shape Nucleoid is the brain of the cell. Iti in the centre of the cell. |
