Define final goods (Topic: Nation Income)

Answer»

Final GOOD

A consumer good or final good is any commodity that is produced or CONSUMED by the consumer to satisfy current wants or needs. Consumer goods are ultimately consumed, rather than used in the production of another good. For example, a microwave oven or a bicycle that is sold to a consumer is a final good or consumer good, but the components that are sold to be used in those goods are intermediate goods. For example, textiles or transistors can be used to make some further goods.

When used in measures of national income and output, the term "final goods" includes only new goods. For instance, the GDPexcludes items counted in an earlier year to prevent double counting of production that is based on resales of the same item. In that CONTEXT, the ECONOMIC definition of goods includes what are commonly known asservices.

Manufactured goods are goods that have been processed in any way. As such, they are the opposite of raw materials, but they include intermediate goods as well as final goods.

Distinguish between perfectly elastic demand and perfectly inelastic demand.

Answer»

Elasticity measures how the demand of a product/good reacts to changes in the price of a good/product.

Goods/products with few substitutes and are considered highly NECESSARY or part of society's daily needs FOLLOWS inelastic demand.

For example, even when gasoline increases price, the demand of gasoline will not be GREATLY affected as there is currently very few substitutes to gasoline and gasoline is highly important in a society to fuel cars.

Goods/products with NUMEROUS substitutes and/or not a part of society's daily needs follows inelastic demand.

For example, when Coke increases in price, the demand of Coke is greatly affected (decreased). This is because consumers may buy other carbonated drinks which are relatively CHEAPER.

In what way are sources of capital required for farming by large farmers different from the capital sources for small farmers

Answer»

The main source of capital for the MEDIUM and the large farmers is by selling the SURPLUS sale in the markets and earn good profits. They ALSO have savings which they can use in the season and again save and use that savings in the next season. They also earn money by lending loans to small landless labourers and farmers at high interests rates and further increase their wealth.

However, the case is the opposite with the small farmers. They don't have surplus to SELL in the markets or to even fulfil the food demand for their families. FINALLY, they are forced to take loan from medium and large farmers at increased interests rates and eventually fall into a debt trap. They also have to work on the fields of others farmers or look for other work during the year so as to acquire two times meal.

Barter System did not have any difficulty. (State with reasons whether you agree or disagree with the given statements)

Answer» HEYA mate, Here is UR answer

In my opinion, I don't agree with the STATEMENT . Barter System had a lot of difficulty. This is because of " the double COINCIDENCE of wants ".

This means that what I want to sell should be acceptable to other.

For example- For wheat I have to take shoes, so, the shoes owner should also be ready for taking wheat.

If the shoes owner is not ready for taking wheat, I have to GO for other buyer who can take my wheat. But the situation can come that the buyer is ready for wheat but he is selling clothes, which I do not want.

So, this is the only problem that makes barter system inconvenient.
