Did the prazo system contributed to the causes of employment syndrome among the indigenous Zimbabweans? Discuss |
Answer» Answer: Causes Zimbabwe has one of the most unequal societies in the world. Less than 5% of the population monopolise 70% of the nation's income. 76% of the population is on or below the poverty line. There is more than 60% unemployment. The Economic Structural Adjustment Programme was started in Zimbabwe in 1990. In 1991 - 1992 on of the worst droughts OCCURRED in Zimbabwe. This was a major disaster because 70% of the population was living in the rural areas and was dependent on agriculture. Due to the drought a large number of people migrated to the urban areas in search of employment. Another drought occurred in 1995 - 1996 which WORSENED the economic situation. Unemployment increased due to retrenchments and business closures. By 2001 nearly 6000 jobs were lost in different sectors of the economy. Unemployment increased further in 2002 because the government could not create opportunities to STIMULATE industrial expansion. The reasons for unemployment are: 1. SLUGGISH investment and growth 2. The investment or business environment is unfriendly. 3. Weak export performance. 4. Population growth rate and age structure. 5. Poor macroeconomic policy. 6. The reliance on primary products is suboptimal. Explanation: I hope it HELPS you....... |

Answer» Answer: China, Japan and Korea developed the earliest kind of print TECHNOLOGY, which was a system of hand printing. Books in China were printed by rubbing paper from AD 594 and both the sides of the book were folded and stitched. China for a long time was the major producer of printed material. China started conducting civil service examinations for its bureaucrats and its textbooks were printed in vast NUMBERS. Print was no longer confined to scholar-officials. Merchants used print while collecting their trade information. Reading became a part of leisure activity and rich women started publishing their own poetry and plays. This new reading culture attracted new technology. In the late 19th century, Western printing techniques and mechanical presses were imported. Print in Japan Hand-printing technology was introduced by Buddhist missionaries from China into Japan around AD 768-770. The Buddhist Diamond Sutra is the oldest Japanese book, printed in AD 868, containing six sheets of text and woodcut illustrations. Printing of VISUAL material led to interesting publishing PRACTICES. In the late 19th century, illustrative collections of paintings depicted an elegant urban culture and libraries and bookstores were packed with hand-printed material of various types – books on women, musical instruments, etc. |

Why accoding to mahabharat lord krishna prefer karna better than arjuna? |
Answer» Answer: Explanation: The comparison between Karna, Drona, Bhishma and Arjuna shows us that while we can admire a person’s loyalty to a friend, loyalty to their employer and dedication to their principles or promises, all of these things must never be ALLOWED to become an OBSTACLE in doing what is truly for the benefit of the greater good. Krishna, the divine guide, will always shower his grace on people who will PUT Him first, and THUS we remember Arjuna as the true HERO above any of his contemporaries. |

Why was it important for the muslims to self govern |
Answer» Explanation: Muslim League, original name All India Muslim League, political group that led the movement calling for a separate Muslim NATION to be created at the time of the partition of British India (1947). The Muslim League was founded in 1906 to safeguard the rights of Indian Muslims. At first the league was encouraged by the British and was generally favourable to their rule, but the ORGANIZATION adopted self-government for India as its goal in 1913. For several decades the league and its leaders, notably Mohammed Ali Jinnah, called for Hindu-Muslim unity in a united and independent India. It was not until 1940 that the league called for the FORMATION of a Muslim state that would be separate from the projected independent country of India. The league wanted a separate nation for India’s Muslims because it feared that an independent India would be dominated by HINDUS. |

Who was Mohammed Ghori |
Answer» Shihab al-Din (also Muʿizz al-Din MUHAMMAD ibn Sam), popularly KNOWN as Muhammad Ghori (r. 1173-1206 CE), was the Muslim ruler who laid the foundation for the subsequent Islamic RULING dynasties of India which saw its pinnacle later in the Mughal Empire (1526-1857 CE). He ruled a vast area comprising parts of modern-day Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Iran, Bangladesh, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan together with his elder brother Ghiyath al-Din Muhammad (c. 1139-1202 CE), which widely came to be known as the Ghurid or Ghorid Empire. Muhammad Ghori was of Persian origin, however, his exact ethnicity is still debated. He is undoubtedly ONE of the greatest generals of Islamic and Indian history. Though he was defeated in many battles, notably by Chahamana ruler Prithviraj III (r. 1178-1192 CE) in the First Battle of Tarain in 1191 CE, by Gujrati Chalukya ruler Mularaja II c. 1178 CE and by the rulers of the Khwarazm Empire, he never gave up his conquest and established a vast empire. However, he could not CONSOLIDATE his empire before he was assassinated in 1206 CE. His main objective was to annex more provinces, and as a shrewd general, he used his religion whenever it became necessary to inspire his forces. |
