Define ferrous minerals |
Answer» e here your answer ☺☺_____ _____________________ferrous minerals ______________Ferrous minerals are those bearing a quantity of Iron. Now let us understand there is a difference between an ore and a mineral. An ore generally means a material from which it is possible to extract a metal or other material economically.Whereas a mineral will contain a particular metal or element from which it will not be economical to extract the given metal or element. In that sense almost any part of EARTH extraction will contain good quantity of Silicon (as silica or SAND) or Aluminum. (as an alumina or allumino-silicate) But it will not be economical to extract these metals from such extract or excavation. In most parts of world any earth DUG will have some quantity of iron. In that sense it will be an iron mineral. But in actual practice such excavation is DONE for say copper or coal or other commercially useful material.Any mineral used as a source of materials other than iron should be CALLED as non ferrous minerals. ___________thanks |

What are sectional interest groups |
Answer» al group is a pressure group which promotes the interests of a particular section of society. They tend to have a restricted membership as a result. SECTIONAL groups tend to be permanent, because their members will always have interests to promote, and also will likely have strong contacts with government, as they are most likely to successfully promote their members interests in constructive partnership with the government of the day.Examples of sectional groups include: The CONFEDERATION of British Industry (CBI), which tends to represent big businesses, including multi-national corporations. The National Farmers UNION (NFU), dominated by large-scale famers, it is not as powerful as previously, environmental ISSUES and food scares having tarnished the public image of modern farming. The Trades Union Congress (TUC) – the main representative of trade unions in Britain, which represent about 6.5 million WORKERS. Then there is The Law Society, for Solicitor, and The British Medical Association, (BMA) for Doctors. |

What is the role of citizen in a democracy |
Answer» a citizen in a democracy should have the DUTY to vote. If it were up to me, voting would be a requirement. What is wonderful about a democracy is that we choose who will represent us. There is no point to a democracy in which we do not participate.Second, a citizen in a democracy should have an obligation to understand the powers and duties of the government, generally set forth in a constitution. If we do not know this, the government that does not act properly has no CHECKS upon it and can avoid CARRYING out its duties. Third, a citizen in a democracy should have the responsibility of knowing his or her rights, which are also generally set forth in a constitution. If we do not know what our rights are, they are meaningless. Fourth, a citizen in a democracy should always know who his or her representatives are. If we do not know who is representing us, we do not know whether or not that person is representing us properly, to whom we should COMPLAIN if that is the case, or to whom we should state our own opinions and preferences.Fifth, a citizen in a democracy should assume the responsibility of being informed about the issues that affect the country as a whole, for example, the economy, immigration policy, environmental policy, and FOREIGN policy. |

What are the basic futres of social movements |
Answer» e here your answer ☺☺________1. Collective Action:Social movement undoubtedly involves collective action. However, this collective action, takes the form of a movement only when it is sustained for a long time. This collective action need not be formally ORGANISED. It could be an informal attempt also. But it should be able to create an INTEREST and awakening in relatively large number of people. 2. Oriented towards Social Change:A Social movement is generally oriented towards bringing about social change. This change could either be partial or total. Though the movement is aimed at bringing about a change in the values, norms, ideologies of the existing system, efforts are also made by some other forces to resist the changes and to maintain the status quo.The counter attempts are normally defensive and restorative rather than innovative and initiating change. They are normally the organised-efforts of an already established order to maintain itself.3. The TECHNIQUES and Results:A social movement may adopt its own technique or method to achieve its goal. There is no certainty regarding it. It may follow peaceful or conflicting, violent or non-violent, COMPULSIVE or persuasive, DEMOCRATIC or undemocratic means or methods to reach its goal. |

Write about methods of protest during non-cooperation and civil disobedience movement? |
Answer» peration Movement was a significant but short phase of the Indian independence movement from British rule. It was led by Mahatma Gandhi after theJallianwala Bagh Massacre and lasted from 1920 to February 1922.[1] It aimed to resist British rule in India through non-violent means, or "Ahinsa". Protesters would refuse to buy British goods, adopt the use of local handicrafts and picked liquor shops. The ideas of Ahinsa and non-violence, and Gandhi's ability to RALLY hundreds of THOUSANDS of common citizens towards the cause of Indian independence, were FIRST seen on a large scale in this movement through the summer of 1920. Gandhi feared that the movement might lead to popular violence. The non-cooperation movement was launched on 1 August 1920 and withdrawn in February 1922 after the Chauri Chauraincident.Civil disobedience is the active, professed refusal of a citizen to obey certain laws, demands, orders or commands of agovernment or occupying international power. Civil disobedience is sometimes defined as having to be nonviolent to be called civil disobedience. Civil disobedience is sometimes, therefore, equated withnonviolent resistance.[1][2]Although civil disobedience is considered to be an expression of contempt for law, Martin Luther King Jr. regarded civil disobedience to be a display and PRACTICE of reverence for law; for as "Any man who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust and willingly accepts the PENALTY by staying in jail in order to arouse the conscience of the community on the injustice of the law is at that moment expressing the very highest respect for law."[3 |

What is the importance of Regional parties in India |
Answer» l parties are important to maintain the stability and propagate equal development. National parties on a large front, work for the development of the country as a whole which MAY sometimes lead to overlook few areas. But when the regional parties work in the field, they develop their regions which ultimately lead to the country's prosperity. Moreover national parties may not be AWARE of the problems at their deeper roots. Though they have their branches and representatives over the country they can't work at the deeper roots due to the lack of knowledge of the place and society. In this aspect regional parties can play a greater role in IDENTIFYING the problems and working in them. Regional parties moreover MAKE the democracy more STRONG and give a larger picture for the long run of a large democratic country. |

How federalism practices in india |
Answer» guistic States : After independence, in 1950, the boundaries of several old states were changed in order to CREATE new states. This was done to ensure that the people who spoke the same language, share common culture, ethnicity or geography could LIVE in the same state. (ii) Language Policy : The Indian Constitution did not give the status of national language to any one of the languages. Though Hindi was identified as the optional language, but the central government has not IMPOSED Hindi on states where people speak a different language. Besides Hindi, there are 22 other languages recognised as Scheduled Languages by the Indian Constitution. (iii) Centre-State relations : Improving the Centre-State relations is one more way in which federalism has been STRENGTHENED in practice. Though Indian Constitution has demarcated the powers of the Union and the state governments but still the Union government can have influence over the state in many ways. In the past, the Central government has often misused the Constitution to dismiss the state governments that were controlled by RIVAL parties. This undermined the spirit of federalism, and that of democracy. The judiciary has played a major role in improving the autonomy of the state governments because many a time, it has rescued state governments which were dismissed in an arbitrary manner.hope it helps you |

imagine you have participated in the Dandi March with Gandhi. write about your experience of the March and the outcome |
Answer» s a very GREAT day for me, I first time participated in a movement which is for our nation. It is true that doing something for our SOCIETY specially for country makes us feel proud and patriotic.Complete nation would never come on its own. It had to be fought for and this is what Gandhi ji were trying on. It was 1930 when Gandhi ji declared that he would lead a march to break the salt law. According to that law, the state had a monopoly on the manufacture and sale of salt. I had a feeling that it was sinful to tax salt since it is such an essential item oF our food. The Salt March related the general desire of freedom to a specific grievance shared by me and everybody. Gandhi ji and his followers along with me marched for over 240 miles from Sabarmati to the coastal town of Dandi where we broke the government law by gathering natural salt found on the seashore, and boiling SEA water to produce salt.Conclusively, I would say that this whole journey gave me some teachings and learnings TOWARDS PATRIOTISM. The March to Dandi was a movement of courage to oppose the Simon Commission. Hope this helps |
