|
Answer» The title of lady departure is the irony of the story. Vande the grandfather wake up late in the morning then he suppose as died he know that both of his daughters are dear of him. But then they came to know that his father has died then they started dividing their properties then after sometime when grandfather wake up and came downstairs then then he see that both of their daughters are fighting each other for his property then he came to know that no one of his daughter is the dear of him so we can say that the title dear departure is it self a irony. The title of the play "Dear departed" is ironical . In the begining of the play we come to know that grandfather Mrs. Abel has departed from this world. He is not dear to his own daughter through they pretend that he is dear to both of them. They are eager to divide his belonging between them even Mrs. Slater with whom he has living fetches his clock and burreu from his room where he is lying dead even they can\'t wait for thelast rities of his burial . Even their husbands Ben and Henry do not love grandfather. So no one is grewed at his departure. In this play"dear departed" is an ironical statement of dying love and absence of filial obligations. |
