A person cannot see objects further than 10 metres from the eye clearly. Name the defect of vision he is suffering from. How can it be corrected ? Draw a diagram for (i) defect of vision and also (ii) for its correction. |

Answer» Solution :Student is having myopia which is CAUSED by (i) EXCESSIVE CURVATURE of the eye lens or (i) elongation of eyeball RESULTING in focusing of image in front of retina. Thus, the distant images are blurry but the nearby images are clear. myopia can be corrected by using a concave lens of suitable power which diverges the light rays and makes the image formed on the retina as SHOWN.
