Answer» Solution :Asshown in Fig. 11.15, atnoon the SUNLIGHT would TRAVEL RELATIVELY shorter distance before reaching us. As a result, scattering of blue and violet light is very less and the Sun appears white. In early morning or evening, Sun is near the horizon and surnlight passes a LONGER distance in earth.s atmosphere before reaching us. So most of the blue-violet light is scattered away. It GIVES reddish appearance to the Sun.
