Can kinetic energy be negative? Why? |
|
Answer» Solution :KINETIC energy cannot be NEGATIVE. `E_(k)=(1)/(2)mv^(2)`. The MASS (m) of an object cannot be negative. The VELOCITY of an object can be negative. But the square of velocity `(v^(2))` cannot be negative. As mass and the square of velocity can never be negative, the kinetic energy of an object cannot be negative. |
