Answer» SOLUTION :C is a STRONG reducing agent and can reduce CUO as follows: `CuO+C to Cu+CO uparrow` Ca is much more REACTIVE than Cu and has greater AFFINITY for oxygen than C has, So, carbon cannot reduce CaO to Ca. |
