1.	Compare the variations in alternating current and direct current using graphs.
Answer» Solution :i. Direct current flows in ONE direction, but it can increase, can be stable, or can reduce as shown in GRAPH (a). ii. Alternating current is oscillatory. It INCREASES to a maximum, then reduces to ZERO and increases to maximum in the reverse direction and again reduces to zero. These oscillations of the alternating current can be represented in a SINUSOIDAL manner as shown in graph (b).
