Answer» Federalism is a system of govt wherein power is divided between the central authority and the constituent units of a country. It is of two types based on formation :- 1) Coming Together Federations = Smaller units came to form a bigger unit. Here constituent units enjoy equal power. Eg :- USA, Australia, etc.2) Holding Together Federations = Country divided its power between central authority and constituent units in a country. Constituent units enjoy unequal power. Eg :- India, Spain, etc.
