Answer» Solution :To observe magnetic filed lines around a bar magnet : FIGURE : PATTERN formed by iron filingsaround a bar magnet represents its magnetic filed. 1] Stick a white sheet on a drawing board USING gunor glue. 2] Placea bar magnet at thecentre of the sheet. 3] Spread some iron FILINGS uniformly around the bar magnet using salt sprinkler . Tap theboard gently and observe the patternformed. Inference : The iron filingsexperience magnetic force exerted by the magnet. Hence ,t hey arrangethemselvesin a pattern consisting of lines which represent magneticlines of force.Theregion surroundingthe magnet in which these lines of force can be DETECTED constitutemagnetic fieldproduced by the magnet.
