Describe the magnetic field due to current through a circular loop.

Solution :The nature of magnetic field due to a current carrying circular coil is as SHOWN in the figure.

The magnetic field lines near the conductor are concentric circles which would become larger and larger as we move away from the wire. At the CENTRE of the circular loop, the arcs of these big circles would appear as straight lines as shown in the figure. The direction of magnetic field can be determined by using the RIGHT hand thumb RULE. The magnetic field due to a circular coil of n turns is n times larger as that produced by a single turn. THis is because the current in each circular turn has the same direction and the field due to each turn then just adds up.
