Answer» Forest soil-- they are lommy and silty in valley sides. This soil texture varies according to the mountain environment. Arid soil- they are generaly sandy in texture and saline in nature. Laterine soil- it develops under tropical and sub tropical climate with alternative wer and dry season. Red and yellow soil- these soils develop a reddish colour due to diffusion of iron in crystalline and metamorphic rocks. Black soil also known as regur soil is ideal for growing cotton. Alluvial soil deposited by 3 himalayan rivers-The Indus, The Ganga, The Brahmaputra There are six main soil types:Clay.Sandy.Silty.Peaty.Chalky.Loamy. |
