Answer» When social differences overlaps it is easy to pit one group against other. When social differences cross cut is not easy to pit one group of people against another. When one social differences become important to other ie one social differences overlaps other called overlapping.When I social difference crosscuts each other ie. People share common intrest on same issue but other in different issue called crosscutting. Overlapping creates deep social differences and tension but crosscutting is easy to accommodate. |
