In federal form of government most of the powers except power related to international affairs are delegated to provincial government. The powers of respective levels of governments are clearly defined by the Constitution. Besides the revenues for each level of government is also clearly specified to ensure financial autonomy. Such form of government exists in USA,India and belgium where powers are shared between Central and state government. Unitary form of government is different from the federal form of government in the sense that in unitary form of government powers remained at Central place and Central government have the authority to make all the decision. Through provincial governments also exist, but they are act on the orders are directions of Central government. Sri Lanka and Britain are examples of unitary form of government.
