Answer» Giuseppe Mazzini\xa0was born on 22 June 1805 known as an Italian politician, journalist and activist. He played an important role in forming a secret society, name Giovine Italia (Young Italy). ... The party was the first Italian democratic movement to include all classes and helped to bring independence and unified Italy. Giuseppe Mazzini is considered to be one of the most celebrated Italian Revolutionaries of all time. Born in Genoa in 1807, he became a member of the Carbonari secret society beginning his fight as a revolutionary at a young age. He was sent to exile in 1831 for having attempted a revolution in Liguria, when he was 24. Later he built several secret societies like Young Italy at Marseilles and Young Europe in Berne to spread his revolutionary ideals across Europe. He believed that God intended nations to be natural units of mankind and therefore, with a wish that Italy should no longer remain a patchwork of kingdoms and provinces, he built a coherent programme in the 1830 s visualising his dream for a United Italian Republic. |
