Explainthe directioncurrent (DC). |
|
Answer» Solution :DC : Thiscurrentflows only in one direction. If thevoltage does not change with time , the currentremains constant. Thisis shown in figure 13.32. Whena cell or battery is used to OBTAIN DC, the voltagegoes on decreasingalso decreases with time . In a circuit, theelectric CURRENT flows the positive terminal of the cell or batteryto the NEGATIVE terminalin theexternal circuit, that meansit flows only in one direction. Thus, the current obtained due to cell or batteryis unidirection . Itis calleddirectioncurrent (DC). Ageneratorthat produces direction currentis called a DC generatorwhichis alsocalled a dynamo. DC is used in RADIO, cell phone , watch, LAPTOP etc. |
