Find the equation of the line: Having slope 1/2 and containing the point (3, -2)

Given, slope(m) = 1/2 and the line passes through (3, – 2).

Equation of the line in slope point form is y-y₁ = m(x-x₁)

∴ The equation of the required line is [y-(-2)] = 1/2 (x-3)

∴ 2(y + 2)=x – 3

∴ 2y + 4 = x – 3

∴ x – 2y – 7 = 0
