Give reasons Aluminium is a highly reactive metal, yet it is used to make utensils for cooking.

Answer»

Solution :Aluminium is highly reactive metal. It reacts with OXYGEN of air to form aluminium oxide, which gets deposited as thin layer on the SURFACE of aluminium. This layer acts as PROTECTIVE layer and prevents further reaction of aluminium with oxygen. Moreover it is light in weight and a good conductor of heat. Also, it.s manufacturing cost is very low in comparison to other metals. Therefore, most of the UTENSILS for cooking are made from aluminium.
