| Answer» Following was the reaction of Indians to the civil disobedience movement:\tMahatma Gandhi’s Dandi March - the march from the Sabarmati ashram to the coastal town of Dandi to break the salt law was scoffed at by the British officials. However, as the March progressed, it received enormous participation by Indians.\tAs the movement spread to the nook and cranny of the country, foreign cloth was boycotted, liquor shops were picketed and peasants refused to pay revenue or chaukidari taxes.\tVillage officers resigned on a large scale and forest laws were violated by collecting wood and grazing cattle in reserved forests. | |
