How is the reaction Fe + CuSO_(4) to FeSO_(4) + Cu a redox reaction ?

Answer»

Solution :In the reaction , Fe LOSES two ELECTRONS and GETS oxidized to ` Fe_(2+)` ion. `Cu^(2+)` ion, on the other hand, receives these two electrons and gets REDUCED to Cu. Hence , this is a redox reaction .
